Guiseley picked up a vital three points against a struggling Stafford side winning two goals to nothing. Goals from Gabriel Johnson and club captain Jameel Ible lead the lions to a convincing win at Nethermoor park today.

Guiseley started to dominate from the thirteenth minute with Jameel Ible heading just over from a long throw in the 13th minute. Pratt saw a long range strike caught in the 14th. Jake Moult picked up a yellow in the 16th giving away a dangerous free kick which Kendall fired into the wall.

the second yellow card of the game was picked up by Josh Ashman in the 30th minute as Jeffers continued to cause him problems on the left hand side.

Gabriel Johnson broke the deadlock in 37th minute as he slotted home from the right hand side of the penalty area. Guiseley nearly doubled their lead straight after their first goal with Ekpolo's shot being saved from close range.

the third card of the game was picked up by Njaria after a rash challenge on the edge of the Guiseley box.

Guiseley went in 1-0 at half time after a reasonably dominant first half.

straight away in the second half Guiseley doubled their lead as Tom Denton flicked on a header for club captain Jameel Ible to fire into the roof of the net.

it should have been three in the fiftieth minute as Prince Ekpolo fired over from close range.

Ekpolo and Pratt linked up brilliantly on the right hand side to win a corner in the 56th. Tom Denton met the corner heading into the ground and his shot went just over the Stafford net.

Stafford showed glimpses of a fight back in the 63rd minute as a chance saw a Jeffers cross whistle across the six yard box with no-one there to meet it.

Stafford subbed off their player of the game new signing Jeffers in the 70th minute who lit up the left hand side from the start of the match.

every one in the ground seemed to be confused in the 78th as the linesman flagged for a handball by substitute Courtney Meppen-Walters who received a yellow. After a 5 minute break for subs and tempers to cool down Jay Ford fired his close range free kick straight into the wall.

The Guiseley faithful continued to show their discontent after the handball decision earlier on with shouts of "watch the game ref" coming from the stand.

appreciation could be heard around the ground as Guiseley's number ten Gabriel Johnson left the field with five minutes to go after an inspiring performance.

Guiseley captain Jameel Ible was announced as man of the match after leading his side to a critical three points if this Guiseley team have their eyes on a shock playoff finish.

Guiseley convincingly beat a poor Stafford Rangers in front of the 631 fans who made the trip today as pressure begins to mount on Stafford coach Matty Hill with just one point from his last six games.
